Today Verizon Wireless launched the Samsung U700 Gleam, a new device that features an innovative “living wallpaper” that changes based on the time of day and the phone’s status. As an EV-DO 3G device, the Samsung U700 Gleam is also V CAST Music and Video capable. Samsung U700 Gleam also supports Verizon’s Get It Now service for games, ringtones, and location-based services.
The Samsung U700 Gleam features Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support for stereo headsets and a microSD card slot with support for capacities up to 4GB. It has a 2 megapixel camera with video capture. Videos and photos can be viewed on the Samsung U700 Gleam’s 262k TFT internal display. The Samsung U700 Gleam is lightweight, coming in at 95g (3.35oz), and measures up at 99m x 48.3mm x 14mm (3.9″ x 1.9″ x .55″). Samsung U700 Gleam is available today for $149.99 with a 2-year contract and mail-in rebate from verizonwireless.com and Verizon retail stores.
