Sony Ericsson just announced its new Sony Ericsson T700, which is 10mm slim candybar with metal finish. It is said to be building on the heritage of the T610, which got popular thanks to both its design and features. Sony Ericsson T700 is neither a Cyber-shot, nor Walkman branded, but it tries to be on both sides. Sony Ericsson T700 has a 3.2-megapixel camera with option for geo-tagging (based on GSM cells instead of GPS), Sony Ericsson T700 come with Stereo Speakers and 2-inch TFT display. Measuring of Sony Ericsson T700 is 104 x 48 x 10 mm and weighing only 78 g the Sony Ericsson T700 is even more compact than its predecessor - the Sony Ericsson T650. Some of its other features are Bluetooth with A2DP, USB connectivity and up to 25MB of user memory. Sony Ericsson T700 is also a M2 card slot for expanding that amount and a 512MB memory card included in the retail package. An FM radio with RDS completes the list of features. In terms of music abilities, the Sony Ericsson T700 comes equipped with a music player and Bluetooth stereo wireless headphone support. On top of that, Sony Ericsson T700 also has its own built-in stereo speakers on-board and ships with a color matched wired stereo headset in the box. The music player of Sony Ericsson T700 supports album art and Sony’s MegaBass feature, and the Sony Ericsson T700 also features Sony Ericsson’s TrackID software for identifying unknown songs heard nearby.


Other features of this Sony Ericsson T610 inspired handset include a 3.2 megapixel camera, an FM radio, and Sony Ericsson T700 support for 3D gaming. An included USB cable lets you hook the Sony Ericsson T700 up to a personal computer in mass storage mode for easy drag and dropping of files, too. The Sony Ericsson T700 also offers great support for email that includes the typical POP/IMAP support as well as Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.

Sony Ericsson T700 is quad-band GSM phone with 2100 MHz UMTS 3G support with HSDPA for Europe and is expected in selected markets from early Q4.
