Sony Ericsson launches stylish T280 and T270 mobiles
Sony Ericsson, Building on the appeal of the Sony Ericsson T610 mobilephone, Sony Ericsson today launched a couple of new candy bar handsets that throw a little more style into the business mix of mobile phones with the Sony Ericsson T270 and the Sony Ericsson T280. There are designed to appease both the fashion minded and business class consumers. These two new models offer style while not compromising on their functionality sans a hefty price tag. The Sony Ericsson T270a and Sony Ericsson T280a support 850/1900 GSM frequencies whereas the Sony Ericsson T270i and Sony Ericsson T280i support 900/1800 networks.
Both of Sony Ericsson T280 and Sony Ericsson T270 are 13mm thin pocket-sized handsets are basically the same aside from one of them featuring a 1.3 megapixel camera and the other does not. Launching a new mobile phone without a built-in camera is almost unheard of these days but Sony Ericsson says that the Sony Ericsson T270 model has the “all business” person in mind who just needs the essentials. With camera of Sony Ericsson 280 and Sony Ericsson T270 becoming more popular some corporations, including one I used to work for, has banned the use of mobile phones that have cameras built in. For those situations the Sony Ericsson T270 is well positioned.
First in line is the dual-band Sony Ericsson T270. It comes in bar phone-factor and is equipped with a 1.7″ 65K TFT display with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels. The internal memory of Sony Ericsson T280 and Sony Ericsson T270 is 10 MB but unfortunately it will feature no card slot to allow expanding it. Other features of the handset include Java support, Bluetooth connectivity and FM radio with RDS. There’s no built-in camera, though. The Sony Ericsson T270 and T280 will be available in two color versions -Silver on Black and Copper on Silver. It will be available in selected markets from Q1 2008 but its pricing is yet unknown.

hey just read your information on the sony ericsson t280i the reason being that my other phone was stolen last night and i really need a compact fast in use phone all the time i like the look and also love the way its set out so i ahve decided to go and buy the phone tommorrow so thanks for the information its been very helpful brilliant phone information by the way very detailed.

i got one of these phones for christmas there alright phones but go NO memory and does not talk a mermory card……. i like the desighn but it would help if they had good mermory…………. and the infomation that you’ve gave well done ha……..
