Samsung has debuted a new Windows Mobile smartphone from CES in Las Vegas today, and while details are fairly scarce at the moment, the Samsung SCH-i760 certainly does look promising.

Samsung SCH-i760 incorporating a layout similar to the HTC Libra reference design, the Samsung SCH-i760 looks very much like a regular handset from the onset, with a regular numerical keypad and d-pad, but slides open horizontally to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. Matched with the device’s WiFi and EV-DO capabilities, the Samsung SCH-i760 forms quite a messaging device.

Samsung SCH-i760 come with a faster processor, new operating system, bright touchscreen, a full slideout keyboard and quick Net connections, Samsung SCH-i760 gives fans of so-called multifunction devices a gem to consider.

The Samsung SCH-i760 looks like a winner right out of the box, at least until you hold it.

Samsung SCH-i760 come with a 1.3 megapixel camera, MP3 player, and all the benefits associated with Windows Mobile can be found in the Samsung SCH-i760. While pricing and carrier availability details have so far not been announced, it is fair to say that the SCH-i760 will probably see a release with Verizon Wireless in the US sometime during 2007.
