Nokia has taken the classic QWERTY smartphone design and trimmed it down to come up with the Nokia E71. Measuring a mere 10mm (.4″) thin, Nokia E71, this slender handset sports a full QWERTY keyboard and landscape QVGA resolution display. Dedicated shortcut keys for contacts, calendar, and email offer extra convenience, as well.

Nokia E71 is the successor of the E61/E62/E61i family and is wide candybar with landscape display and full QWERTY keyboard. Nokia says the keypad of Nokia E71 is specially designed and the phone is suitable for both, single and two-handed usage.
The Nokia E71 packs a full hardware QWERTY keypad and its design feels somewhat Blackberry-esque although it’s actually a successor of the Nokia E61i. Nokia E71 brings much more style to the E-series with a girth of mere 10mm. It’s impressively compact for its form factor but that in turn has shrinked the display to 2.36 inches (as opposed to the impressive 2.8″ screen of E61i).

Hardwarewise, the Nokia E71 offers the latest in smartphone with a built-in GPS receiver, which works with Nokia Maps, 3.2 megapixel auto focus camera. There is also the microSD card slot to expand the available 110MB memory with up to 8GB worth of additional storage. The Nokia E71 also has support for Nokia’s Share on Ovi media-sharing service. The Nokia E71 includes a new home screen with customizable business and personal views. There are Nokia E71

Data will fly to the Nokia E71 thanks to HSDPA support and built-in WiFi, and the built-in A-GPS with Nokia Maps preloaded will help you find that next business meeting.
