Nokia UK website : Nokia Announce Nokia N79 Eco phone, What is “Eco phone”. “Eco phone” mean phone which friendly with environment. Why Nokia N79 Eco are “Eco phone”, because Nokia N79 Eco not include battery charger into package. When Nokia don’t add battery charger into package of Nokia N79 Eco that mean box of package of Nokia N79 Eco can be smaller. So Nokia can reduce paper and water wasted and reduce trucks for distribute and delivered Nokia N79 Eco to customer around the world. That mean Nokia can save cost production and delivered of Nokia N79 Eco many millions of euro. And this concept of Nokia N79 Eco can be activate user recycling battery charger for save expenses and reduce waste of old battery charger.
Nokia plan to stat “Eco phone” concept in nearly two years and they have plan to sale 250 million “Eco phone” in small packages (all lower to midrange ones) and will be saved 15 000 tones of packaging material, will be saved 100 000 cubic meters of water and reduce 5000 truck for distribute and delivered phone because more phones fitted in each truck.
Concept of “Eco phone” same as Nokia N79 Eco make Nokia save 4 GBP (around 4.5 euro or 6 USD) of the 319 GBP paid for every Nokia N79 Eco will be donated to the WWF.
The price of the Nokia N79 Eco is not much different from that of the Nokia N79 original. The Nokia N79 Eco is now available (for online pre-order, though).
