LG Vu mobile review

Much has been made about the LG Vu: LG Vu is large touchscreen and multimedia functionality immediately draw comparisons to that other, similar-looking phone in AT&T’s stable. But while the $299 LG Vu is sleek and elegant and has several features unavailable on the iPhone, such as AT&T’s Mobile TV and 3G data speeds, For LG Vu, it lacks Wi-Fi, and its touchscreen and multimedia functionality aren’t up to snuff with its largest competitor. Nevertheless, this more affordable device is a fun and easy-to-use iPhone alternative. It’s LG Vu mobile

For LG Vu. It’s small, light and attractive with that chic look. Yes, it’s plastic and pales in comparison to the iPhone’s modern skyscraper glass and metal shtick, but when compared to mere mortal phones, it’s good stuff. For LG Vu, The touch screen is large, lovely and perfect for TV. Better yet, it responds well and the haptic feedback makes it more natural than interacting with lifeless glass. It’s not quite as good as the iPhone’s (other than the quibble with the iPhone’s lack of tactile feedback), but then nothing is. The LG Vu’s mobile TV experience is excellent (assuming you’re in a covered area), the camera is good and call is very good. Oh, and we really like the HTML browser. It’s LG Vu mobile

As more and more handsets enter the touch screen market, it just sets the bar higher for the next model. Each manufacturer has to come up with its own way to differentiate the phone to draw customers away. Well, with all the models out there, the LG Vu sure does have its job cut out for it and there is no excuse to cut itself short. Sadly, there are just a lot lacking to keep it from the top. For starters, the touch screen just isn’t on par with the rest of the competition. Also, some of the applications and menus aren’t as intuitive as the others. Fro LG Vu, The camera quality should be much better than it is. All of this is being picked on because the LG Vu is supposed to be a high-end handset and you want to get the most out of your phone when you pay $300 (after $100 mail-in rebate), including a two year contract. For that price, there are just other models that are out there that do all of this better. It’s LG Vu mobile

# The good: The LG Vu is a super sexy touch-screen phone with a 3-inch display and haptic feedback. Features include AT&T Mobile TV, HSDPA speeds, a 2.0-megapixel camera, a full HTML browser, and quad-band support.
# The bad: The LG Vu’s camera lacks flash, and there’s a learning curve involved with the touch screen. Streaming video was a little choppy as well.
