I got my first MSGM8, had it for about two years and no incredible troubles with it, besides poor memory and service. Out of no where the phone goes out. when i pushed the end button the numbers (45) popped up. majority of the buttons just completely stopped working. the menu button, out. i messed with it enough to where i found out if i pushed end and the contact button i got into sending a message, cept i couldnt scroll through the contacts or type a ledgible text. So then i then i went to a downgrade, a standard talk and text phone w/o a camera. I get another MSGM8 from a friend really cheap, they had the fone for about a year. Now ive had the phone for almost a month and the same thing, out of nowhere just stopped working!!! FML!!!

I dont know if its because of the Criket svc or if the phone is defective. But I have went through 3 of these phones. every time I access the internet, It gets a virus and I need to go get a new one. I cant make calls as often as id like due to never having any Signal bars. the letters and numbers on the qwerty keyboard are so small, that even with 20/20 vision I still need to bust out a magnifying glass to text or type. It looked bigger and nicer online. The internet is super slow even WHEN u have 4 bars. The Battery does not last much longer than 3 days on stand by. Also had to buy extra batteries for it because every one of these phones I have had just suck out the energy in the batt. The camera on it has aweful picture quality esp in dim lighting. you need to have perfect lighting to get a somewhat good picture. the mp3 player on it does not work ( didnt work on the other 2 phones either) you can not watch online video with it. I would HIGHLY suggest NOT BUYING this phone. I have spent more money in the last year trying to get these phones to work. and YES is do have insurence. so every time it breaks, Criket charges me 50 bucks for a new one. and they just keep breaking. and they wont give me the msgm8 2. as for GPS, u need to PURCHESS it for a monthly re occuring charge of 10 bucks. ( not a bad price, but when in an area when u dont get svc, which seems to be just about every where except my own home and the criket store, the GPS does not work. I have missed many highway exits due to this problem) the one thing it is good for is Texting. when u CAN see the letters, its fun and easy to text with. so if ur looking to do anything else besides text with this phone, do not buy it. and make sure ur in an area that has svc. Dont listen to the criket reps, as they are very deciving, I was told I had mp3 and gps and e-mail for free, NOT. and I was told with insurence there will not be a deductable, NOT and they also told me I can get great svc ANYwhere, NOT. If it wasnt for my current financial situation, Id def go with ATT or Verizon. Shit, at this point im ready to just junk the msgm8 and get a Tracphone. Nothing but isues with the MSGM8

The Cricket MSGM8 has a simple easy-to-use interface with a full QWERTY keyboard, a 1.3-megapixel camera, and Bluetooth.
