Samsung has debuted a new Windows Mobile smartphone from CES in Las Vegas today, and while details are fairly scarce at the moment, the Samsung SCH-i760 certainly does look promising.

Samsung SCH-i760 incorporating a layout similar to the HTC Libra reference design, the Samsung SCH-i760 looks very much like a regular handset from the onset, with a regular numerical keypad and d-pad, but slides open horizontally to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. Matched with the device’s WiFi and EV-DO capabilities, the Samsung SCH-i760 forms quite a messaging device.

LG has announced the KS20, a full touchscreen smartphone based on Windows Mobile 6 Professional. This handset, destined for the European market, features tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900MHz) and WCDMA (2100MHz) connectivity, LG KS20 come with data speeds up to 3.6Mbps thanks to HSDPA support. The LG KS20 is also equipped with WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0 for additional wireless connectivity options. Internal memory is limited to 128MB, but a microSD card slot is included that supports cards up to 2GB in size. there are LG KS20.

The Centro is Palm’s latest entry in the handset market, and their first attempt at a consumer oriented ‘multimedia’ device. Targeted towards the younger, hipper crowd, the Palm Centro features a 1.3 megapixel camera, a microSD memory card slot, and a multimedia player. Palm Centro running the relatively ancient Palm OS, with a few updates, can Palm indeed produce something that non-business users can appreciate?

For longtime Palm, Palm Centro fans, you can’t hide the fact that the Centro is yet another rehash of the Treo 600 design that Palm acquired in the Handspring purchase back in 2003. Be that as it may, this time around Palm has made some reductions in size and weight that add up to an overall leaner, Palm Centro are more pocket friendly mobile device. The Palm OS is certainly long overdue for a new graphical look and complete overhaul, Palm Centro yet it still remains competitive due to its ease of use and wide range of third party software solutions.
